Light Bulb
Submitted by Abigahil Sandoval on September 30, 2009

Using Inkscape I was able to make this lightbulb. First I started by drawing a simple circle. Then, using the Bezier Curves tool I made the bottom of the lightbulb. After that I colored the lightbulb using the Fill and Stroke box. Next I made the inside parts of the lightbulb and colored them as well. Then, to make the lightbulb look more realistic I had use the Radiar and Linear Gradients on the fill and stroke of the lightbulb. Finally I made an oval at the very bottom of the image and using the Opacity and Blur it makes the lightbulb have a shadow at the bottom. By following the steps online you'll end up with your own lightbulb.

Self Portrait

What I did in digital graphics this week was draw my head complete with all details. You have to draw each shape and line. You also have to find where there is shading on your face and neck and insert it on the head. You should add as much detail as you can because it will make it just that much more real. Start with the simplest details like the shape of the head or tracing the hair and go from there. Add the most realistic color for that off the chart look.

Guthrie Senior 2010
Submitted by Kelsey Timmons on September 29, 2009

First what I had done was type in the words and move them around to where they would fit in every groove in between each letter and number. After that I duplicated it and put the color to black. I enlarged the duplicated one and put it behind the original text. I added two sets of stroke to the duplicated text and blurred it just a little. I got onto the original text and added a darker stroke to it after I had got everything else done. I then went into document properties and fixed my background border to 1024 by 768. I enlarged my style texting; first my duplicate, then my original, and made it to fit the background border.

Jaguar T-Shirt
Submitted by Quincy McMorries on September 29, 2009

This is my jersey that I created in Inkscape. It took me about four days to create because it was one of the first designs that I had created in this software. I first found an image of a jersey off of the internet. I imported it into the Inkscape progam and traced the outline of it. Then I imported pictures of number stencils and a word font that said "Jaguars". It took me a while to get all of the drawing how i wanted them to be, but it finally worked out. I finally got to change the colors and design my own jersey. Pretty awesome isnt it? :)

Jaguar Football

I made this image in Inkskape. First I traced the helmet, it was very hard to trace but I managed to do it. After that I traced the G to go on the side of the helmet. It was not as hard as the helmet was. Then I colored the helmet in yellow, the face mask green, the G green. Very last I had to trace the word ''JAGUARS'' and color that word in green with a yellow outline. And wa-la there's a helmet for the Jaguars. GO JAGS!!!!

Cup of Coffee
Submitted by Robin Manley on September 29, 2009

This coffee cup was made using Inkscape. I started by creating one ellipse, and then added 17 more, plus three other vector objects. Each ellipse had different fills, outlines, and sizes. The saucer has five separate ellipses. The coffee cup is made of 13 ellipses, and 3 other shapes. By layering each ellipse in a unique way, the finished image was created.

Self Portrait
Submitted by Blake Fox on September 29, 2009

I used Inkscape to make this image. First I had to go find a picture of myself so I could trace it. I had to trace over my face, my hair, and just every little detail on my face and neck. I had to find the colors that would look the closest to my body color, my hair color, and my eye color. I also had to fade and darken the color so I wouldn't look like a plain color, I had to make it look more real. I it took me a while to make it, but it was worth the hard work I put into it.
