Coach Wellman, longtime local hero here at Guthrie, coached the Jaguars for 18 years, leading them to 219 wins. He helped mold Guthrie into what it is today. You know what...he may be more of a local legend!
Local Hero: Coach Shipman

For our local hero, we chose Coach Shipman. We knew that we would have a lot of good things to say about him and would have some things to add that some people might not know about him. We're very proud to have him here as a coach and we wanted to express that in our project.
Local Hero: Coach Sloan

We did this project about a local hero, and we chose Coach Sloan because we thought he was done a lot for this school and the athletic program. We wanted to interview and get know more about him. For us to know Coach Sloan even better, we also interviewed Gus Garrison and Coach Chisum. They told us some great things about Coach Sloan.
Nighthawks Submitted by Quincy McMorries on October 20, 2009
I wrote this story in Mrs. Brendle's English class. Our assignment was to choose a character from the picture, "Nighthawks"by Edward Hopper, and tell their story from their point of view. I chose to write about the guy that's sitting on the far left, with his head bowed down. After my story was finished I recorded it in Audacity. There, I edited and attached background music to my story. Well, here you go. I hope you like it :)

I wrote this story in Mrs.Brendle's class for a grade. I then recorded it in audacity so that I could share it with everyone that wants to hear it. In this picture I wrote about the man that is sitting next to the lady in the red dress.

I wrote this story in Mrs.Brendle's English class. I had fun writing this story but it was very hard for me to think of what to write. I recorded my story in audacity and added some background music to it. In my story, I am the lady sitting next to the man.
